About me

For more than 30 years I have been working for technology driven companies and this in several roles like programmer, product manager, accountmanager and management roles.

As of 1999 I deliberately entered the Internet arena and it was a start of a bumpy journey, while being involved in start-ups, merger and acquisitions as-well management buy-out. It was also a period were I acquired a lot of experience in management and more specially change management.

In 2016, due to circumstances, I took up a new challenge of being an independent consultant and I discovered the data privacy arena with the publication of the GDPR regulation.

I enjoyed the change of mindset of an engineer into interpretation and implementation of specific (privacy) laws.

Today I assist organisations in achieving or improving their journey towards evolving privacy laws.

Besides the published laws, there are also a lot of opinions, guidelines, recommendation from official instances like  EDPS (European Data Protection Supervisor), EDDB (European Data Protection Board), the national DPA’s (Data Protection Authority) and others.

One the objectives of this website, is to make available a repository of the publications of these official instances.

And keep in mind: you can do anything with personal data, as long as you respect the rules!
